The new Rest House of the institute was commissioned in 2008 at its Residential Complex located at Cinnamara, Jorhat, Assam. It is about 5 KM from Jorhat town, situated at the roadside (left) of the Mariani–Jorhat Road: only 0.5 KM from Tocklai Experimental Station of the Tea Research Association, 6.5 KM from Jorhat Airport, 3.5 KM from Jorhat Railway Station and 13 KM from Mariani Railway Junction.
Sited on a five-acre green campus, the Institute Guest House has 5 tastefully furnished rooms — one VIP suite, one double-bedded room, and others with two single beds each, accommodating 8 persons in all — together with a Drawing Room and a 10-seater Dining Hall, all air conditioned. A catering facility prepares and serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.
